Bristol Bay Native Corporation's (BBNC) contribution to the new Alaska Covenant House on 8th& A in Anchorage, AK. June/July 2013

BBNC commissioned me to paint the mural on the fence separating the courtyard from the road for the New Anchorage Covenant House. The Covenant House is a shelter for homeless youth and over 50% of the kids who use their services are Alaska Native. It has been a very positive experience to have the opportunity to work on this project. These are progress photos of the mural. It focuses on the subsistence lifestyle and the role it plays in the lives of Alaskans. Our kid's values determine the fate of our future and the way we will live.

Beaver Round Up 2013 Salmon Printing

Each year in Feb/March, Dillingham has the Beaver Round Up festival where people gather to enjoy the parade, carnival, arts and crafts and events and fireworks. This year Nunamta Aulukesti sponsored my booth at the carnival for salmon printing. I saved these salmon since last July just for an event like this!
